The School of Health and Human Services is currently seeking a Childhood Studies Instructor. This position will be responsible for:
Advertised Salary: $71,785.48 to $121,523.99/annum (Based upon educational and experience qualifications, plus an attractive benefits package).
- Masters in Early Childhood Education
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate adult learning.
- Demonstrated excellence in planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online learning environments/teaching – (Moodle).
- Experience with infant care, child care and/or school-aged care.
- Understanding of Alberta’s Child Care Licensing regulations.
- Experience instructing adults at a college level.
- Experience working with community organizations and children’s programs.
- Experience working with students with exceptionalities.
- Understanding of Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.

- Instruction of academic courses within the Childhood Studies Department (Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) and Educational Assistant (EA) programs)
- Practicum supervision of students in community placements
- Maintaining office hours and student mentorship/engagement
- Engaging with community stakeholders
- Maintaining professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
