McMurray Money Program: Business Sign Up Form
McMurray Money is the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce's money that can be bought at the Chamber of Commerce and spent at participating local businesses only.
By registering here, you acknowledge that your business will accept McMurray Money. You also acknowledge that your business may be included in the promotional materials as appropriate. You will also agree to post "We Accept McMurray Money" signage in your establishment to let shoppers know that you are a participant in the program.
Only Chamber of Commerce members may participate in this program.
If you'd like to register to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce, please visit the Member Center on the Chamber website or contact accounting@fortmcmurraychamber.ca. You may also call us at 780-743-3100.
Participating business names are posted on the Chamber of Commerce website and shared in social media.
This program is intended to encourage shopping local and keeping money in the region to support the business community.
How it Works - Information for participating businesses
When someone spends McMurray Money at your business, please check the following for verification: 1) a signature or initials from Chamber staff, 2) a Shop Local stamp, and 3) a corporate seal impression in the paper. The value is printed on the front and is in denominations of $100, $50, $25, $20, $10 and $5.
We ask that you treat this like real money, as it has been purchased and paid for through the Chamber of Commerce. After McMurray Money has been spent at your business, you can then bring it into the Chamber Office to be reimbursed with actual money. (We make every effort to reimburse you within a week – except over the Christmas holidays.)
McMurray Money has no expiry date and can be used like cash. Please note that no change will be given, but it can be purchased in various denominations for convenient spending.
