The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Keyano College and the Government of Alberta will be hosting a Job Fair on Oct. 2nd.
The job fair will be both traditional and innovative at the same time, in that while you will have a booth and speak to people in person you will also have the opportunity to highlight your company to an online audience and skilled workers from outside the region. There will be a social media team present doing live videos and highlighting what it’s like to live and work in Fort McMurray. Alberta Works will be setting up live feeds with offices throughout the province including both rural and urban centres. The GOA will also be working with First Nations thought out the Province to highlight the event and share live feeds.
The job fair offers exposure to hire and showcase your business in the region. Even if you might not have positions to hire at that time, you can register for future hiring.
Expected attendance: Over 500 in person and thousands online
Timeline: 2:00PM-6:00PM on Oct. 2nd, 2018
Types of candidates: Skilled candidates, targets will be set when employers register and describe what types of employees they are looking for
Cost: $200 per booth (booths are limited!!!) and $100 for Non-profits, $50 for the Bull Pen (option for small businesses who do not have staff/equipment for a booth and cannot stay the whole time)
